Well... I'm a little late with this post! Life has seemed frantically busy lately. Michael and I have been run off our feet sorting out the new car also both getting sick last week. We are all better now and Michael is excited to have a week off work next week.
Jack is 9 months! I feel like I blink my eyes and he has grown again! He now weighs a huge 10.7kg (yes my arms are very strong). He's eating so much food now. His favourites are Greek yoghurt with some fruit puree, cheese, corn thins, meatballs and toast. I still give him mashed/pureed food for lunch and dinner alongside finger foods. He also has finger foods as snacks and baby porridge for breakfast.
Jack loves bottles now. Which marks the end for breastfeeding for us. He still feeds occasionally but he is happy having bottles so we have adapted well to the change.
Jack still loves moving around on his belly. He reaches far in front of him for a desired toy that has rolled away. We expect he will start to commando crawl soon as Amy did around 10 months old. He does get frustrated with his inability to move where he wants to, but hopefully this frustration will motivate him to start wriggling around more. He has a lot of weight to move though, so we might be waiting for a couple more months.
I can now confidently say that he is sleeping through the night. He has only woken for resettling about 3 times in the last 4 weeks, so we are all happy with the extra sleep. Jack and I get up between 5am and 6am every day now, so that's the compromise!
Jack loves to clap hands and enjoys songs such as 'twinkle twinkle little star' and 'Incy wincy spider' as he likes watching the hand actions.
His favourite toy at the moment is a big yellow bus. It has 'little people' inside and he loves moving it along the floor.
He doesn't say any words yet but we are hoping to hear some soon!
We haven't had any new teeth this month but lots of dribble and biting toys.
Jack is lucky to already have some lovely baby friends around the same age as him. We enjoy catching up with friends every week and watching the babies play together.
