Gold Coast - Tuesday

Wow!  What an exciting day we had today!

We all woke super super super early. After breakfast and organising our bags for the day,  we went across the road to a playground by the beach.  Amy had lots of fun playing while Jack had a morning nap in the pram.
The playground was called an 'all-abilities' playground.  There were 'chat boards'  around (see picture)  to help children communicate if they needed extra assistance.  (Mum,  I thought you would find this interesting).
Amy enjoyed the flying fox and the slides. There were pedal bikes that went around the playground on a track.
After a big play we drove to the big surprise (for Amy),  Dreamworld! It's about a 30 minute drive from our hotel.
We headed straight for the ABC kids area and to Wiggle World.  Amy was beyond excited. We said hello to wags the dog,  rode the tea cups,  big red boat,  big red car,  and watched a show with captain feathersword,  wags and Dorothy.  Amy was in heaven and didn't want to leave!  We stayed there for quite a while,  exploring soft play areas and a toddler size maze.
We had some lunch before going to white water world (it's connected to dreamworld). It was a beautiful sunny day so perfect for swimming.  Jack got his toes wet but it was a bit cold for a baby.  In white water world there's an area called 'wiggle bay' which,  as you can imagine,  was a huge hit with Amy. Lots of shallow water to splash in,  and water slides!  They wouldn't let us do a tandem ride with Amy so she went down it by herself and Michael caught her at the bottom.  She loved it and went on it about 20 times.  Jack and I enjoyed watching everyone play. Michael went on a big slide which he said was good fun.
Amy loved it so much that she didn't want to leave.  We bought her an Emma wiggle hat and some wiggles figurines which she is very happy about.
Both kids fell asleep around 3pm as we drove back to the hotel.  What a busy day!
We hope to fit in another visit to dream world on Thursday,  if the weather is fine.
