We had fun today as Amy enjoyed some painting with cotton buds. It's great for fine motor development and she thought it was wonderful.

Fun at the park
It's ANZAC Day today. The sun is out and so we decided to go to a new park.
Amy was full of excitement as she went down the yellow slide over and over. She likes to be as independent as possible and doesn't want us to help her climb the ladder.
Jack lay on the picnic rug and did a few rolls. It was great lighting to get these cute pictures.

Beautiful Amy
I love these photos. We went to Brooklyn today with Sal, Ben and Ethan. Thank you Sal for taking these great photos.
Jack eating solids
Jack has been checking out my food for a while now. I've given him little tastes of things off my plate, but he seems to be quite hungry now.
I gave him some baby porridge today and he loved it! He kept wanting more. He is definitely ready to start eating solids now. Let the mess begin!

Amy's speech
Amy's speech is so funny lately. She has really developed a lot in the past month. She now uses the word "because" and phrases such as "I can't remember". She likes to repeat these new words and phrases many times.
The funniest thing she has been saying lately is when she confuses he/she and his/hers.
"Ethan is riding her bike".
"Pa went back to her house".
We correct her but she still hasn't quite understood yet.
Jack is teething
Jack loves to munch on everything lately. As a result he is dribbling a lot. He has been mostly happy but I think his teeth are on the move. He had a few nights of slightly raised temperatures last week, but that seems to have settled for now. He enjoys rusks but cries if he drops them. I have to put it back on his hand many times! He likes teething rings too.
Amy and Jack
Jack can now sit beside Amy, so I was able to capture these lovely photos. Amy thinks it's great how she has the same pants as Jack.
Shhh. Don't tell Amy..
Amy was sleeping so Jack had a turn sitting on her peppa pig sofa. He is sitting quite well now with a little support.
In the second photo he looks like he's playing an air guitar. :)
Jack's activity centre
Jack loves his new activity centre. I think he likes having a different view of the living room. He is very inquisitive now!

Scissors
Amy has been learning how to use scissors at day care. Today they made some play doh which they rolled into snakes and cut with the scissors.
