This is a video of Amy reading for Aunty Sal. It's quite long but nice to see her enjoying her books.

Here's Jack's day care photo. It's a photo of a photo so a little blurry! But the original print is very nice.
Michael's had a few days off work recently, so we have been keeping busy doing lots of fun activities.
Michael and Amy enjoyed building a big Lego castle. Five minutes later, Jack tipped half of it off the table. So now it's half a castle!
I took the kids to a park that Amy likes to call the "coloured poles park". It has a cute bike track with lots of coloured poles that you weave your bike between. There's also a great sandpit with lots of fun activities to do in there. Amy liked turning the handle to make the conveyor belt move sand into her bucket.
Jack is a bit sensitive to the texture of sand, so we explored around the sandpit while Amy played. Jack loves to climb so I helped him climb some large sandstone steps. He was a bit concerned about the sand on the stones and tried to keep his hands from touching it too much. You can see in the photos how he was a bit worried about getting his hands dirty!
He loves the slide there as he can do it independently. It's a double slide and he would sit on one side, and gesture me to sit next to him. Then we would go down at the same time.
Amy is really enjoying learning to read. We have been borrowing readers from the library, and she loves reading as many words as she can. Well done Amy!
Amy is really loving jigsaw puzzles. She does ones suitable for her age, with up to about 30 pieces. She spends lots of time doing them over and over, and is getting very fast. It's lovely to see her sense of accomplishment - she's very proud of herself.
She starts by sorting the puzzle pieces; identifying the corners, edges and middle pieces. She then works her way through each group.
On Saturday we visited a new park not far from our home. We had been waiting for the park to be competed, and Amy was so excited to see it was finally finished.
Once Amy recovered from the flu, Jack became unwell. He had a chest infection and needed to have antibiotics. He had a few days off from day care, so we relaxed at home. He was happy and didn't seem too bothered, which was good.
At first, he hated the antibiotics. But after a few days he took it easily.
Poor Jack then fell over at the park, and scratched his face!
It's been a rough couple of weeks! Jack still has a little cough, but on the mend.
