Today we went to a small park that we hadn't been to before. Amy and Jack ran excitedly towards to play equipment. Amy chose the swings and Jack quickly followed.
We then noticed that the large trees above us had dropped most of their leaves. Amy and Jack began jumping and running through the leaves. Amy would throw handfuls of leaves up into the air, and Jack would laugh his cute baby giggle at her. Amy chased us and threw leaves over our heads. We held hands and jumped high, crunching the leaves under us. Needless to say, Amy and Jack loved it!
I was able to capture some great photos.

Leaves!
Winter is here
We have been braving some chilly mornings by rugging up and playing outside. Jack likes to wake around 6am each day, so we start early. He's been a little unhappy, recovering from so many illnesses this past month, and now cutting his molars. Poor Jack!
He still loves dancing to the wiggles though! He instantly lights up and dances along to his favourite songs, trying hard to imitate the actions.
Jack loves to say "bye!" as loudly as the can when he or someone else is leaving. He waves frantically and says "bye" over and over. He's very proud of himself, and you can see the concentration on his face as he tries to perfect the pronunciation. Well done Jack!
We had day-care photos last Thursday. On Wednesday night, after the bath, Amy drew all around her face with red texta. Luckily it came off, mostly. It wasn't visible for the photos which was good! We hope that we get some nice photos of Amy and Jack together.
Amy is enjoying her swimming lessons on Mondays now. We changed from Tuesdays to keep her favourite teacher, Martina. She's gaining more confidence in the water each week, and loves to play with her friends. A few weeks ago, she was the only one in her class. I thought it was great because she ended having a private lesson! After the class, Amy told me that she missed playing with her friends. It made me realise that the social aspect of the class is also very important to her.
Learning phonics and words
I've started to teach Amy some reading skills. She really loves it and is very keen to learn.
She can recognise the following words:
Mum
Dad
Jack
Amy
the
Geeta
No
Spot
pool
Nana
Pa
Sam
Boo
I think there's more but can't remember. She's learning cat and dog too. We have been learning phonics and trying to sound out words we see during the day. She likes to try and read signs and spells out the words.
Well done Amy!
