Sick baby

Poor Jack had been sick with a gastro bug since Friday. He's gone from diarrhoea to vomiting and now 38 degree temperatures. He's had the worst nappy rash I've ever seen, and cries in pain when I change him. He's been waking early (5:30-6) every day with diarrhoea, but it seems to be subsiding today.
We hope he gets better soon.

Exercise bike

Michael picked up a cheap exercise bike to help strengthen his sore knee. Amy was determined to have a go. We told her she was too little to reach the peddles, but she found a way!

New park

We found a new playground quite close to home. It was recently built and I took the kids there yesterday. Amy loves to climb as high as she can on the rope nets. Jack loves the swings and slide. I see him watching Amy very closely and attempting to do what she does.

Washing cars

Amy had fun helping Michael wash the cars. She also loved playing inside the car, pretending to drive on a holiday.

Mother's Day

We had a lovely mothers day! Amy, Jack and Michael gave me a new Samsung tablet and a lovely card. The kids and I had fun at the shops and then played at home, while Michael worked.
Amy built a great tower using all her wooden blocks. She was very proud of herself.

Hand, foot and mouth

Poor Jack was sick last week with hand, foot and mouth. It's a virus that gives a rash around and inside the mouth, and on the hands and feet. He wasn't too worried about it, but wasn't able to attend day care. I stayed home with him and we played outside together. He's fully recovered now, which is great.
He's developed a love of climbing, and now that he's getting taller, he can climb on the couch, small table, and dining chairs. Uh oh!

New swing

It's been another busy month. We've spent lots of time outdoors as the weather has been so beautiful. Jack loves playing with the large balls. Amy loves swinging on her new 'big girl' swing.
Amy is getting much better pen control, and enjoys doing dot-to-dots. She's showing an interest in reading words so I'm starting to teach her some.
