Amy fell asleep in the car on Wednesday after visiting Nana and Pa. Michael transferred her inside as it was a very hot day. She stayed asleep for about 1.5 hours. Jack looked at her sleeping, and decided her would lie down next to her.

A new bike!
Amy has a new bike! She loves riding the 'big girl' bikes when we go to shops like Big W or Kmart, so we thought she was ready to have her own at home. Jack now likes the smart trike that was Amy's, so we bought Amy a proper bike with training wheels. She was very excited and couldn't wait for Michael to assemble it.

Busy busy!
It's been a very busy month (which is why I'm playing catch-up on my blog)!
We had a great Christmas and new year celebration. It's been wonderful to catch up with lots of friends and family this season. Chrismas is lots of fun with kids, and Michael and I really enjoyed celebrating.
Amy had fun driving a toy car at the shops last week. She was very good at steering, and at the end was given her very own driver's licence. She was so proud of herself!
Jack has been walking everywhere! He tries to walk really fast to catch up with Amy, and often falls as his little legs are still learning. He walks 90% of the time now, usually balancing himself on something to stand up, then off he goes! He also loves to climb now. But thankfully our couches are still a bit too high for him. Soon though....
Outside play is lots of fun now that Jack can walk around. He loves his new-found freedom and enjoys carrying toys around.
He likes to go to the hat basket and choose a hat to wear. He has mastered putting it on his head now. The other day he found Amy's peppa pig hat, put it on his head, and then went over to the mirror to admire himself.
He also enjoys being in the kitchen. Sometimes when I'm in there, I bring him in with me, to give Amy some peace. He loves rummaging through drawers and cupboards, or just opening and closing them over and over....
Amy has been practising writing her name! She can write 'A' and 'm', and needs a little help with the 'y'. Well done Amy!
Merry Christmas!
Amy was full of excitement on Christmas morning to see that Santa had been to deliver presents for her and Jack!
Santa ate the cookies we made and drank all his milk! The reindeer made a huge mess of the carrots we left them, much to Amy's delight!
Amy and Jack received some lovely presents from Santa, family and friends. What lucky children they are! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration.
