Getting ready for Christmas!

November
Here is lots of photos from November.
Amy is holding a large piece of shaved Parmesan and thought it was wonderful to eat.
We visited some miniature steam trains that you could ride on, which both kids really enjoyed.
Eden gardens had a fun Christmas celebration with petting zoo, jumping castles and more.
We went to a fun indoor play centre with some friends.
Lastly, Jack spend some time in our sandpit at home. He has never liked sand, and this was the first time he sat in it. The digger looked too much fun and he couldn't wait to play with it. He spend about 30 minutes in there and had a lovely time!
It's been a busy month and December will be even busier! Amy is especially excited about Christmas!

Happy birthday Jack!
You're 2 already?!?
Jack has changed so much in the last couple of months. He's really come out of the baby phase and into toddler world! He's actually pretty calm and easy going and I hope that continues. He's become quite chatty. I spend half the day trying to work out what he's saying. It's a bit of a guessing game when his pronunciation is a bit off. But I love that he's trying so hard to communicate. He says heaps of words, and new ones every day. Its great that the can understand a lot more now. I try and talk to him as I would to Amy so that his speech can develop further.
Jack loves playing with matchbox cars. He could spend all day just driving them around, and putting them in little doors and down ramps. He's trying to say the different colours of his cars too. He says blue, but pronounces it "poo", which makes Amy laugh.
He's also learning some names of shapes. He knows how to say star, oval and diamond (which gets pronounced "die-dee").
Jack loves to move his body as much as he can. Climbing, running, and dancing make him very happy. He loves music and we all dance together. Amy and I laugh as we copy Jack's clever moves.
We are phasing out Jack's bottles and replacing them with sippy cups. He doesn't mind and often prefers the cup now. His self feeding skills (with a spoon) have really improved lately, and he likes to drink from an open cup at dinner time, just like Amy.
Happy birthday little Jack. You brighten our lives and fill up our hearts.
