Amy saw a peppa pig episode recently where George pig didn't want to eat his salad. When the salad was arranged into the shape of a dinosaur, he happily ate it all. Amy thought this was just wonderful and requested her own dinosaur. I made her one out of cucumber, orange, and corn thins and she ate it all! I then made another two dinosaurs for her. This was her breakfast!
This led us to make a 'bunny' out if rice and vegetables. Definitely not my best work but she loved it!
I then made her another dinosaur for dinner last night.

Rocking horse
Pa bought Amy a rocking horse for Christmas. She has gradually been showing interest in it each time we visit their house. On Tuesday she sat on it happily and tried rocking back and forth.
George pig, her beloved soft toy, was given many rides on the horse too.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone! We had a nice day at home today. We all had a sleep in until around 8am which was lovely! Amy collected coloured plastic eggs in the backyard which contained some toys! She had a great time searching for the eggs and then opening them to see what was inside. She doesn't want to eat chocolate so this was a great alternative for her :).
She carried around the blue egg today for quite a while and enjoyed taking toys in and out of the eggs.
Jack enjoyed playing with his toys. He likes the bite down on lots of things now. He dribbles more so I think he may get teeth soon. I was putting Amy to bed tonight so I lay Jack down on the spare bed in his room. I was reading Amy a story and I could hear him crying (he was so over-tired). I put Amy in her bed and went to get Jack. He had stopped crying and had fallen asleep. Poor little guy was exhausted from a busy day. It's sometimes hard to coordinate Amy and Jack's bedtimes by myself but we get there eventually! :)

Making a mess
Amy loves making a mess! On Wednesday I gave her some bowls of flour, brown sugar and polenta to play with. I used these foods because they are different colours and textures. She enjoyed mixing them together and pouring from one bowl into another. And then it turned into spreading it on her legs and wiping it all over the floor with her hands. She had so much fun with it and I just vacuumed it up when she was done.

The Royal Easter Show
On Tuesday we went with Brian and Norma to the Easter show. Amy had so much fun. She went on the tea cups, the giant slide (with Michael - twice) and a train ride. She loved the slide most of all, and laughed the whole way down. She was very brave to go up so high!
We looked at some baby animals and fed some goats. Amy talked to the sheep "hi baa" and waved to all the animals.
Amy is a very lucky girl. She played a game where she had to throw balls and try and land them inside coloured circles. She landed 2 in coloured circles and was able to choose a prize. She chose George pig (from the cartoon peppa pig). She loves her new toy George so much. He has been taken to bed two nights in a row and has been sat in different chairs, and given cups of tea.
Amy also played the game where you put the ball in the clowns mouth. Out of the five balls she scored 28 out of a possible 30! She received another prize with some stickers, noise makers and a stuffed toy.
We went to the show bag hall and Pa was so kind to buy Amy her first ever show bag. A peppa pig one :). It contained a back pack , cooler bag, headband, hat, plate, and a block puzzle game.
Amy fell asleep quickly after lunch when we were driving home. Jack had a nice relaxing time in the pram as we walked around the show.
Eating rusks
Jack likes munching on just about anything at the moment. I gave him a rusk and he enjoyed sucking on it. Amy didn't want to miss out on the fun, so she had one too.
I've given Jack some zucchini and sweet potato off my plate to try but he's not very interested in solids yet. He's 4 and a half months.

Forster
We have just arrived home after spending 4 days in Forster. The weather was gorgeous and we had so much fun. Sal, Tracie, Ben and Ethan also joined us and we all had a fantastic time.
We stayed at the big 4 holiday Park, which is fantastic when you have kids who need to burn lots of energy! There was a jumping pillow, playground, pool, water park and even some hungry ducks.
Amy was so excited the whole time we were away. She had so much fun playing with Ethan and Ben, and kept asking where they were when we were driving home.
We went to the beach on both Friday and Saturday. The weather was perfect and the kids enjoyed building sandcastles and ramps for balls to roll down.
Amy was game to go into the cold water and Ethan paddled out very far on his body board. Ben loved playing mini golf and Amy scored a hole-in-one! Ethan and Ben really loved playing aqua golf with Michael too.
Jack was happy as well. He had his first trip to the beach and hid in the sun shelter with me! He slept well in his portacot and napped in the pram or car.
We went out to dinner one night and Amy enjoyed the novelty of a blue cup with a straw. She ate curly fries for dinner and I think she was pretty happy about that!
There are lots of photos below, enjoy!
