Amy loves day care. She is now in the toddler room and there's so many fun activities for her to do. She's still sometimes upset at drop off, mainly because it's a new room for her this year, and she feels a little scared at first. Her teachers assure us she settles quickly and she's always laughing and smiling when we pick her up.
She loves craft activities, dancing and being outside. There's a great climbing frame she is often on when Michael gets her in the afternoon.
Michael had Sunday and Monday off work (a rare 2 days in a row!) so we had some fun at a few parks and the shops. It was cooler weather (mid 20s) so we enjoyed getting outside, and when it rained we went shopping. Amy loves to run around pretty much anywhere we go, and Jack usually has a good sleep in the pram. Win win!
We went to Homebush bicentennial Park on Sunday morning. Although cloudy it was still warm and Amy enjoyed some water play. She was absolutely soaked (no we didn't think to take her swimming costume, I honestly didn't think she would go in the water fountains, but she did!). She had so much fun we plan to return (with her swimming costume) again soon.
We also went to a park that has little trampolines in the ground. She had a ball and didn't want to leave.
On Monday we went shopping as the weather was a bit rainy. Amy tolerates the pram for a while, then wants to get out and run everywhere. We found some toy cars to ride in and she liked that. We let her loose in toys r us and she enjoyed looking at all the toys and bikes.
Jack is getting super strong and sometimes I think he's about to roll tummy to back. He sometimes rocks himself on his belly so he's trying. His sleep has been pretty terrible at night but we hope it'll improve soon!
It's fun comparing Jack and Amy photos of the same age to see their similarities. There's definitely some photos where they look alike!
Wow Christmas came around quickly! We had a great time celebrating with both sides of the family. Amy and Jack received lots of toys, books and clothes. Amy enjoyed opening lots of presents including ones for Jack. Any toys and books he was given has ended up in her bedroom!
Amy received a great water play table from Sal and Tracie, and Jack received a cute monkey from Santa.
We visited Santa in early December to get a photo with him. Amy was cautious so we all joined in the photo together. Amy loved helping Michael decorate the Christmas tree and was interested to hear about Santa.
We have been having fun getting to know the newest member of our family. Jack is a hungry little guy and is growing fast!
We are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Jack Anthony Cronin.
Jack was born at 9:51pm on Wednesday 11th November 2015 after a very speedy labour!
Amy has been interested in her new baby brother and likes to pat his head and give him kisses.
Both myself and Jack have been doing well and we appreciate everyone's cards, gifts and well wishes.
