Holiday–Bateman’s Bay!

Michael and I both had a week off work last week. We went down to Bateman’s Bay for 3 nights and had a lovely time.

Despite some rain, there was plenty to do with an 18 month old!

Mogo Zoo was a definite highlight. Amy loved the monkeys and the ducks.

The weather was beautiful and sunny while we were there.

Dingos. Aka “puppies”

Since Amy loved the monkeys so much, we couldn’t go past this little guy at the gift shop.

Its only very small, about the length of your hand. So Amy had a lovely time carrying it around and playing with it.

The hands and feet are magnetic, and she enjoyed sticking it to the fridge over and over again Smile.

After the Zoo, Amy had a big nap (and so did we!), and then we headed down to the beach. Amy loved inspecting all the sea shells and watching Daddy throw them into the water.

The next day was rainy, so we went to the shops for a play and look around. Amy loved driving this toy truck…

We found a terrific indoor soft play centre that afternoon. Amy had a wonderful time!

Our accommodation was lovely. We had a 2 bedroom villa overlooking the water. It was close to shops and right on the beach.

It had putt putt golf, a jumping pillow and a playground.

Fun around the house.

Amy will find just about anything to play with at home. A money box provided lots of entertainment one rainy afternoon!

A Special Announcement!

We are delighted to announce that Amy will be a big sister in November!

We are very excited to meet our second baby, and I’m sure Amy will be a great big sister.

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant, and aside from the occasional day, I’m feeling well.

I can feel the baby wriggling around now, and we will find out the gender in about a months time.

Its been a while!!!

Well! Things have been non-stop-crazy-busy in our house!

Amy is growing before our eyes, and changing every day.

She now says far too many words to even count, new words each day.

She can count to 10, and knows about 1/3 of her alphabet letters.

We spend our days trying to match her seemingly endless energy and enthusiasm.

Amy loves to run, jump, climb, talk (and talk and talk), read books, play with Lego (Duplo) and knock down towers.

She is such a delight at the moment. With 16 teeth we only have her 2 year molars to go, which is such a relief Smile.

Michael and I can see some ‘cheeky’ toddler behaviour surfacing sometimes, but generally she has a very calm nature.

Amy had her first hair-cut a couple of months ago. She has a cute fringe now.

For Easter, Michael and I took Amy to the Sydney Family Show at Moore Park.

Amy had a lovely time petting the baby animals, and riding the merry-go-round.
