Happy Easter!

It’s Amy’s first Easter! So of course we did what every new parents do and put bunny ears on our baby. So cute!

 

 

 

 

Amy’s really into books lately. We have been to the library to borrow books, and she loves ones made from cardboard so she can turn the pages. Clever girl!

 

Nanna made her a lovely library bag and gave it to her for Easter. Thanks Nanna!

 

Amy has also started to enjoy some pureed foods! We have given her an organic brown rice cereal with breast milk, and also pureed pear.

She has puree once a day at the moment and we will gradually increase this, as well as the amount she eats. She loves being spoon fed and keeps opening her mouth for more!

Sitting up!

Amy has come a long way in the last week with sitting up. We are practicing every day and she is getting very strong. Today she sat for a whole minute by herself!

 

 

Sitting has made play time more interesting as she is viewing the world through a whole new angle! She enjoys playing with toys while I help her stay balanced.

Yesterday we took advantage of the small amount of sun and went to the park.

 

 

 

 

 

The new stacking cups seem to be a big hit!

 

 

 

 

Amy now has two bottom teeth that have cut through. Teething rings are a popular toy at the moment!!

She only seems upset the day the tooth cuts through, but then is back to her usual happy self.

5 months old!

Amy is now 5 months old! She has changed so much in the last month. She can now pass objects from one hand to the other, is in the process of learning to sit unassisted, is getting her legs underneath her when on her tummy, makes a lot more noise, and is showing interest in food.

And the biggest news of all, a NEW TOOTH! Its in the process of coming through and we can see it more every day. She has been very good and hardly shown any signs of teething.

Her 00 clothes are now getting very tight so we went out today to buy her some 0’s.

Learning to drive…

 

Since she had been showing lots of interest in food we decided to try out some pureed carrot.

 

 

The face shows it all…. not very convincing! We will probably leave it for a few weeks.

 

Here’s the tooth! It’s incredibly hard to get a photo of it though, this is the best I could do. It’s her bottom right one.

It’s only just poking through the gum so a bit hard to photograph. It looks like the bottom left will be along shortly too.
